Lucy..I’m Home!
Today I modeled for a close friend and fellow classmate photographer Shannon Dicarlo. I was dressed up in a yellow 50′s dress with pearls on and my hair in curls haha not to mention black mary jane heels! It was too cute! She visioned a 50′s housewife magically popping into a modern twenty-first centery kitchen with all steel appliances :] After the shoot, I was told I could have been a good fill in for Lucille Ball from I Love Lucy! Can’t wait to post her final picture Mrs. Finch picks! Keep tuned in!
Tony Parise :) Iphones handy?!
I got to meet Tony yesterday and learn more about his fantastic non profit organization to raise money and build a skatepark for the kids in Bothithong, South Africa
His friend Brandon and his wife, are contributors and partners that help him keep this neat and well rewarding organization flourishing! I met him at a skatepark in Dunwoody,Georgia I thought having him on location would be perfect! What could go wrong on such a good day? The battery was missing from the microphone that was hooked up to the Canon 5D Mark II we use to shoot video, the good news, iPhones come in handy! There quality is superb both pixels and sound! I shot the video via the camera and used audio recording with his iphone muffled in his jacket! I am excited to put this video together, I think it is a great cause and well worth showing and committing too! I look forward to adding in audio and video from Tony in South Africa along with time-lapse video we learned the other week in multimedia! Can’t wait to rock this! I also got a decal for my car, yes exciting!
Time-Lapse: A cinematography technique where the frequency at which film frames are captured is much slower than that which will be used to play the sequence back.

Pin Up, classy past! Fashion/Fantasy
I can’t wait to start shooting for my fashion/fantasy assignment! It can be anything you dream up! When shooting this remember clothes, makeup, accessories, and location must MATCH! I chose to do a retro style pin up look, very classy and no it won’t be generic! I have a wonderful model, makeup artist, all there is now is lights, camera and SHOOT!! :] Heres ideas I have for the shoot!
Check out Anne Leibowitz, renown fashion photographer and lighting expert!
Anthony Parise, Give a skateboard anyone?
Anthony Parise, is a peace core activist and pro skater that has inspired the children of Bothithong, South Africa to learn how to skateboard. This dream of teaching these kids how to skate came during his peace core journey to South Africa. I am very lucky to have the opportunity to have him as my cliental to create a video about his non profit program and how YOU can help! I am looking forward to interviewing him, shooting and videoing his exciting life tomorrow!
Fingers crossed! I think it is amazing to help those of a less fortunate country in the most unique ways using multimedia to display what one change can do!

Hold My Hand, Youtube.
I was on Facebook tonight and I came across a friend who posted this video, clearly this boy just wanted to be heard and in watching this I reflected on my own life, it brought me to tears. I use to have similar problems in high school and it felt like a weight baring on you. Recently I shot for my photojournalism project, at first shooting firefighters was just for an assignment but this story came similar to one that was told to me and I have respect for the men and women who help the community but this kid for using a media outlet instead of another way to just “end” everything. The rate of youth deaths can be changed if you listen
I am currently in a multimedia class as well and I think reaching out via social networks is a sign of strength and that is why Facebook, youtube and twitter exist so we all are connected.
Photoshop Actions
Photoshop actions are presets that are designed by photographers to create their own style and reduce to editing time by half. Of course if one goes to school for photography they learn the ethics and technicality but usually frowned upon use of actions. The way I see it, if “mamarazzi’s” are using this and selling their work, then why can’t those who are professional and gained a degree in learning the craft and art of photography. Here I created my own preset used for wedding photos, I recommend buying action as they come in different sets and numerous prices! I love MCP Photoshop actions! Of course you pay for the better ones or play around and create your own
HAVE FUN!!
